Dame Vivienne Westwood, born Vivienne Isabel Swire in 1941, is an influential and unconventional British fashion designer known for her provocative clothing. She has helped set the style for modern punk and New Wave music.

Vivienne Westwood was working as a school teacher when she met Malcolm McLaren, the manager of the punk band Sex Pistols. Westwood became one of the architects of punk fashion when she designed clothes for the band.

In 1992, Westwood was awarded the OBE by the Queen and earned the award for British Designer of the Year (BDE) twice in her illustrious career.
