Riccardo Tisci was the creative designer at Givenchy, one of the most respected French fashion houses.
Ricccardo Tisci was born in southern Italy and is the youngest of nine children. He has eight sisters who he claims have influenced his design aesthetic.
Tisci studied fashion design at the Central Saint Martins in London. In 2004 he started his own eponymous label in Milan and in 2005 he was named the creative director at Givenchy. Since his appointment Tisci brought his melancholic romanticism and has boosted the label’s sales.
Riccardo Tisci caused a media stir in 2010 when he cast the first transgender model on his catwalk (Lea T. who had previously worked as his assistant).
Tisci produced the album artwork for Jay Z and Kanye West’s collaborative album in 2011. He also collaborated with Madonna in designing her Super Bowl costumes in 2012.
