Italian fashion designer Alberta Ferreti is the co-founder of Aeffe Fashion Group, which has an annual turnover of 250 million Euros. Ferreti is also the head of the Alberta Ferreti fashion house, which employs over a thousand people.
At age 19 Alberta Ferreti opened a boutique, selling merchandise made by then unknown designers Gianni Versace and Giorgio Armani. She later decided that she would like to create clothes and so in 1974 Alberta Ferreti created her own brand.
Alberta Ferreti launched the Aeffe Fashion Group in 1980 with her brother, Massimo Ferreti.
In 1998, Italian President Oscar Luigi Scalfaro presented Ferretti the Order For Merits in work. Alberta received the title of Designer of the Year at the presentation of Prix De La Moda award of Marie Claire Spain. In 2005, Alberta Ferretti won the prize for Lifetime Achievements from the mayor of Rome Walter Veltroni for her achievements in the field of fashion, and The Romantics award from the international fashion group Night of Stars in New York.
Alberta Ferreti showed her Limited Edition collection in Paris on July 3 for the first time during haute couture week.
