Okra Stew (Khoreshte Bamieh)

Okra is rich in magnesium, Folate and fiber. It’s a good source of vitamins A, C and K1. In my family we serve Okra Stew with white rice. You can also serve it with brown rice or quinoa.

A hearty soul food, Okra Stew (Bamieh) is traditionally made with beef or chicken, but the above photo features a vegetarian version.
